Its entrance is 20 m wide, open SE. It is protected by a windward curved mole that extends S for 55 m and SE for 85 m and by a leeward that extends for 30 m to the SW. The inner coasts of the small harbor are quayed and it is mainly used for mooring by local vessels.

Palairos is a small and relatively shallow harbor in the Greek mainland, some nine miles by sea, east of the south end of the Lefkada canal. It also lies barely a mile north of the harbor and the Vounaki marina, the main sun sail charter base in this part of Greece.
The Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni or Moni Faneromeni is the most important religious centre on the island of Lefkada. Situated in Frini, on the hilltop above Lefkas Town, this monastery offers a breathtaking view to the capital village, the northern side of the island and the opposite coasts of the mainland.
Though it continued Artolithia, located further south towards the root, due to the orientation of the dam and creating some big rocks parallel to the coast, making it an ideal retreat for those long afternoons catching waves. It is organized and should care for the necessities.
Large, sandy beach, close enough to the town of Preveza, about 5 km Shortly after the Cote d'Azur, Kalamitsi offers wonderful addition to the shade of eucalyptus trees, a beach. Aimed at tourists, but is also ideal for families as the water is clean and fairly shallow.
Pefkoulia is an impressive large sandy beach located 10 km southwest of Lefkada town ad close to the fishing village of Agios Nikitas. Considered as one of the best beaches of the island, the sea at Pefkoulia has a wonderful turquoise color that attracts many visitors.
Kathisma is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches of Lefkada located 15 km southeast of the main town, close to the village of Agios Nikitas.
