Sailing Holidays in Benitses Marina

Small harbor (marina) Benítses (39°32΄.9 N – 019°54΄.8 E) is formed 0.6 miles NW of cape Kontrákia. It is open NW and has an entrance opening of 63 m. It is protected by a curved windward mole that extends NNW for 200 m and by a leeward mole that extends E for 45 m. There are lights at their heads--a green one on the starboard side and a red one on the port side of incoming vessels.

Their outer sides are protected by natural boulders; the inner sides are quayed and used by vessels approaching the small harbor for securing their sterns. The inner coasts are quayed. In the middle of the inner W coasts lie two jetties, 40 m apart from each other, that extend E for 52 m.

At a distance of 0.4 miles SE of the small harbor stands a conspicuous hotel with a curved jetty in front of it, which extends NNE for about 55 m. In the area is a Police Station.
