Choreutis cafenion (Dancer in Greek) is located in Tholaria village. It is operated more than 50 years and as the current owner (past owner`s son) says, his father was not only kafetzis (coffee maker), but a shoemaker, a butcher and a barber. All these professions were taking place in the cafe. Now, it offers coffees, ouzo, tsipouro, mezedes (tapas) and homemade sweets. Also, many villagers are playing backgammon and card games.
Mikri Vlychada beach is found northwest from Tholaria village, on the northern part of Amorgos, and can be accessed in about 30’ walking by the rocky path mostly used by local fishermen. The beach is in fact a small bay with sand and pebbles, totally unorganized, at the mouth of a gorge.
Just like with Mikri Vlychada beach, Megali Vlychada can be accessed through a path from Tholaria village at about 1 hour walk. The beach is very big, covered with fine golden sand and boasts clean waters, offering one of the best swimming options on the island, away from busy and crowded spots.
