Located 16 km west of Rethymno on the National Road Rethymno-Chania. This is a beautiful sandy beach on the North coast of Crete and therefore affected by the winds and northerly winds.
The beach of Agios Georgios is situated 62 kilometers far from Rethymnon (7 kilometers west of Ayia Galini) and is a beautiful pebble beach is sheltered from strong winds. It is non organized and must have with you the essentials.
Agios Pavlos is located south of Rethymno, engulfed by 30m high sand dunes that end in a secluded beach of thin pebbles and beautiful waters. An ideal beach to spend a summer day, near the village of Agios Pavlos.
It is located in distance of 58 kilometers from Rethymno and 50 kilometers from Agia Galini village. Visit it if you want to escape in a calm beach far from the crowd and the trouble.

Ligres is an isolated beach 45 minutes away from Rethymno and 7 km from the village Kerames. Here you can find some piece of your mind because there is no electricity, telephone or other useless devices.

Preveli Beach or Foinikas is also called as the southern coast of Crete, 38 km south of the town of Rethymno, below the monastery of Preveli. Located about 20 minutes after the historic Monastery of Preveli.
Through the village Lefkogia starts a bad asphalt road (3 km) to the sheltered sandy beach with turquoise Shinaria waters. The beach is fairly sheltered from strong winds.

Just before the beach Korakas will find a series of 3 secluded beaches with sand and pebbles. It is not organized and you need all your essentials.
Approximately 47 km from Rethymnon at the South West and 2 miles south of Peach village, is the beach of Korakas, a sandy beach open to the south and exposed to the winds. It is a well organized beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, bars, etc.
At about 47 km southwest of Rethymno and after the beach Korakas will find three pebbled beaches affected by the wind. The two beaches at the end of the dirt is pretty organized.
