Coastal region of Pelion that is wetted by Pagasitic Gulf. There are a lot of lodgings, cafes and taverns in the region. It is a small, narrow beach with sand and pebbles in the settlement Malaki.
Navigational Aids
The port of VĂłlos is a well-sheltered artificial port situated at the head of the homonymous bay. The port is the third largest port in Greece (after Peiraiás and ThessalonĂki) and it is the only important port in ThessalĂa.
The harbor is open to the southeast, 35 meters wide, and it is protected by a windward outer curved mole. The mole extends to the southwest for 50 meters and its outer side is protected by a slope of masonry.
The Pelion mountain is near Tsagarada village. There is a small trail near the village, and by following it for about 15 minutes, it will lead tothe canyon.
The small port’s entrance is 50 meters wide and is facing northwest. It is protected from south winds by a windward mole, 130 meters long.
Volos Marina is located in the center of Volos, a port city on the east coast of the Greek mainland, situated midway between Athens and Thessaloniki. Along with Skiathos marina they are the main ports of call to the Sporades sailing area.
The theatre of ancient Demetrias is situated within the walls of ancient Demetrias, near the village of Nees Pagasses in Volos Municipality.It was built when the ancient city was founded, near the Palace of the Macedonian Kings.
The theater of Volos is situated in Riga Feraiou square and is one of the biggest stages in the Balkans. It can seat 1000 people.
At the north end of the village Agios Ioannis there is a small port, which is protected by two moles. The east mole is curved and it extends to the southeast for approximately 180 meters.
It is a small port on the shores of settlement HoreftĂł, protected by a windward curved mole that extends to the east-southeast for about 230 meters. Its entrance is facing southeast, with depths of 5 meters that decrease normally further inside it.
Wild, distant with pebbles, the beach of Fakistra is known for its turquoise waters and the very beautiful clean pebbles. There you can feel happy and calm.
The beach of Ovrios or Vriou is of natural beauty in the Eastern Pelion. It is known because of the German shipwreck still there at a distance of 50-60 meters from the coast.
The beach of Elitsa at Pelion is a small beach next to Analipsi. Visit the chapel of All Saints with the waves just a few meters from the entry of the church and a landscape reminiscent of Mount Athos.
The beach Parisena is north of Chorefton and is worthy to stop there to experience the pristine nature with lush vegetation. The green literally falls on the sand creating a marvelous exotic scenery.

The beach of Agioi Saranta in Pelion is found south of Chorefton has spotless crystal waters and a beautiful golden sandy beach, next to dense trees and rocks. The famous tall rock Kalogero is located there where the adventurous dive into the waters of Aegean.
Few kilometers after Chrysi Akti and in the direction of Volos, we meet the bight Mamidakis and the settlement of Agios Georgios Kynigon. The settlement has both permanent and seasonal residences along with a calm beach with pebbles and shingles.
Coastal picturesque fishing village 54 km from Volos, ideal for relaxing holidays. Built on a sheltered secluded bay, it faces far away the islet of Kikinthos with the small church of Holy Trinity.
Very beautiful natural small port at the eastern coast of Pelion that can be approached by boat from Agios Ioannis and Mylopotamos. Ntamoychari is very beautiful and particularly calm.
At a distance of 7 km south-east of Volos the popular coastal tourist resort of Agria is a modern and dynamic town, full of life all year long. The plethora of coastal taverns, restaurants and refreshment stands offer visitors great gastronomic options as well as relaxation.
An idyllic beach where the green reaches up to the sea. Lagoudi is small but lovely with fine sand and spotless waters for an enchanting swimming.
Kalifteri of Afissos is an organized beach with fine sand and spotless waters. On the beach there are organized centers for marine activities such as, sailing, windsurfing, canoe- kayak, a Sea Fun Park and Water Power Sports.
Passing Kala Nera and less than a kilometer, the enormous beach of Koropi or Mpoufa. Spotless waters and good service in the few shops in the area.
Famous beach in front of the homonymous tourist resort; 20 kilometers southeast of Volos. Kala Nera’s sea is usually calm with a lot of trees and a sandy beach for the most part.
Next to the small port of Kato Gatzea, Sykia beach offers some elementary facilities with umbrellas and deck chairs. The trees almost touch upon the spotless sea and offer natural shade.
The beach of Kato Gatzea constitutes the coast of the homonymous coastal settlement. It is found 17 km away from Volos, at the head of Pagasitic Gulf and is a beautiful beach with vegetation.
The beach extends right after the coastal village of Agria, 1 km south of the village. This is an artificially constructed coast which consists of a concrete surface that reaches towards the edge of the wave breaking zone.
A reknown beach for its cold and abrupt waters. The beach has pebble and is found at the exit of the city to Agria.
The beach of Anavros has been consistently awarded with a blue flag and is found in the extension of Agios Konstantinos park. Organized sandy beach that is found quite near the city of Volos.

The settlement Kritharia, as Marathos, is found towards the way to Volos. From the first settlements inhabited by German vacationers.
It is at the front of the homonymous settlement. It is a series of small sandy beaches in coves that are separated from each other by wide rocks.
Fairly wide sandy beach, 56 km from Volos and 4 km from Mouresi. According to a modern fable, the mixing of mountain and sea made this beautiful sandy beach, one of the finest in the country.
Afyssos is one of the most beautiful regions in Magnisia and the beach Ampovos is next to the last houses of Afyssos. A big sandy beach where nature unfolds in all its greatness.
The idyllic Agios Ioannis or Ai Giannis is the oldest tourist resort of Pelion 52 km from Volos and 5 km from Mouresi, capital of the municipality. In front of the village, there is a beautiful spotless beach 800 meters long with golden sand.
Plaka beach is after the small port of Agios Giannis, large enough with a lot of green, small pebbles and sand. In the beach, you will find umbrellas and deck chairs but make sure to have coffee and water with you.

Lampinou is a small and lovely beach on the side of the Aegean roughly 14 km from Milies. The beach is enchanting and the waters deep and crystal clear.
The coast Kalamaki is found in the Aegean and it is the beach of village Propan or Kalamaki as it was renamed recently. The coast has deep waters and rocks in the water, hence it needs attention, but swimming in the crystal clear water is splendid! In the middle of the coast you can find running water that spurs cold through the rocks.
The beach of Mikro with fine sand and small pebbles is one of the most beautiful in Pelion within a very beautiful natural environment that attracts a lot of people. There is exceptional food in traditional taverns.
At a distance of 60 km from the city of Volos, at the southernmost edge of the peninsula of Pelion, Platanias offers moments of enjoyment far from stress and the noise of the city. Apart from swimming in very beautiful natural environment, the beach offers a lot of comforts to visitors.
Beach with coarse (chondri) sand, hence the name! Roughly 10 km from Lafkos and the bight that many fishermen live. It is said that this is the bight where the remaining boats of Xerxes’ fleet resorted after they defeated Greeks at cape Artemisio of North Evia in 480 B.
