Achilli Marina
Exploring Skyros Sailing Holidays area
On the west coast of the south part of the bay Achili there is a marina, protected by two breakwaters made of a slope of masonry. At the head of the north breakwater a light operates. Approximately 200 meters northeast of the entrance of the marina, there is a 200-meter-long breakwater of west-east direction made of a slope of masonry. A light is exhibited from its head.
Vessels approaching the marina should first pass between the north and the above-mentioned breakwater and then turn immediately portside. After sailing between the heads of the south and the north breakwater, they can enter into the marina safely. The entrance of the marina is difficult to recognize. The marina does not operate officially and there no facilities are available. Its coast is quayed and can accommodate about 150 sailing and cruise crafts.
