Skopelos Harbor
Exploring Skopelos Sailing Holidays area
Skopelos, the main harbor of the island is a large and lively harbor. With a meltemi (the Etesians) (NE) it can develop an uncomfortable swell, although the harbor remains tenable. Moor stern-to towards the root of the long breakwater or alongside further towards the end. No facilities on the quay.
Hydrofoils berth the other side of the harbor and the occasional ferry on the end of the breakwater. The bottom in the harbor is mud and provides excellent holding. The town behind the waterfront is rather attractive, although the waterfront itself is knee-deep in tourist cafes and taverns.
