Kalamos Beach

Kalamos beach has turquoise waters and white sand washed by the Aegean Sea. There are two small consecutive bays separated by a rock. The first beach is usually “Kali” (good) because of its calmer waters, while the second is called “Kaki” (wicked) because it usually has rougher waters.
Navigational Aids
It is an artificial port that is open to the east. It consists of two parts, the north (new) port and the south (old) port, which are divided by the central mole that extends to the east for 65 meters.
The port of Oropos is located on the shores of the head of Oropos bay, in front of the houses of the homonymous settlement. It consists of a 50-meter-long pier of northeast direction, with depths of about 1.
The port is protected from west by a mole, which extends to the south-southwest. Its outer side is protected by natural boulders.
The port of Kými is situated at the northwest head of the bay of Kými. The town of Kými (Koúmi) with 3,674 residents is about 1 mile inlands of the homonymous port on a height of 200 meters, with the settlement Kými Beach adjacent to the harbor.
The entrance of the fishing harbor is difficult to recognize by vessels arriving from the north or south. The entrance is open to the west, 80 meters wide and protected by two breakwaters.
The port is artificial and lies on the west shores of Kárystos bay, in front of Kárystos town (5011 residents). The port is open to the west-southwest and is protected from the south winds by a windward curved breakwater.
The port of Néa Stýra is formed on the north shores of the bay of Stýra, in front of Stýra village. The port consists of a pier, 67 meters long, the direction of which is west.
The small harbor of Alivéri is a small artificial harbor that lies at the northwest head of bay Alivéri, in front of Alivéri settlement. The harbor is protected from the waves raised by south winds by a mole that starts from the northwest shores and extends to the east for 210 meters.
The port of Erétria is located at a distance of 11 miles west-northwest of cape Alivéri, in the bay that is formed right to the west of the gulf located between cape Manóli Mýti and islet Pezónisos. The south end of islet Pezónisos is also the southeast end of the port.
Linaria is a small harbor and it offers good protection from the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians) as well as from the S winds. Anchoring is very difficult because of the many laid moorings and bad holding.
The Havos Gorge is near the small village of Kambia. The landscape is amazing as the area is covered with many trees creating a fabulous forest, and there are also waterfalls.
On the west coast of the south part of the bay Achili there is a marina, protected by two breakwaters made of a slope of masonry. At the head of the north breakwater a light operates.
Theater of Eretria, one of the oldest Greek theatres, is located inside the West Gate, in the north-west of the city and near the Temple of Dionysos. It was built between 400-500 BC and it has an estimated capacity of 3600.
The theater of Dionysus Eleuthereus is an open theater and one of the oldest in Athens. The structure dates back to the 4th century BC but had many other later renovations since then.
Odeon of Herodes Atticus, known as Herodeon, was built in 161 AC and had a capacity of 5.000 people.
The Acropolis museum is located in the center of Athens, in the southeast corner of Acropolis rock and has a total area of 25,000 square meters. It is a brand new museum which was built to host exhibits that were found during the excavations in the Acropolis and were too many to fit in the former small Acropolis Museum.
The Byzantine and Christian Museum is based in Athens and is centred on religious artefacts of the Early Christian, Byzantine, Medieval, post-Byzantine and later periods. The museum has over 25,000 artefacts that span over a wide time range.
The Mitrópoli, or Metropolitan Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Athens and an important spiritual center of Greek Orthodoxy. It remains a major city landmark and the site of official ceremonies like coronations and important weddings and funerals.
Kaisariani Monastery (or Moni Kaisarianis) is a beautiful 11th century Eastern Orthodox monastery on the slopes of Mount Hymettos just 5km east of Athens. Kaisariani Monastery was built on the ruins of a Roman temple.
Chili Art Gallery was founded in 2010 and it is located in Thission near the famous area Gazi.The gallery is an ideal place for art lovers, presenting several forms of contemporary art.
The small harbor of Amárynthos is located in front of the settlement Amárynthos (4195 residents). Its entrance is facing west and its width is about 120 meters.
`A for Athens`` is one of the most famous cocktail bars in the center of Athens. It is located in a roof hotel next to the Monastiraki Metro Station.
The Hiliadou has both sand and pebbles of all sizes connected to the foot of the mountain Dirfi. Various rocks are scattered in and out of the sea, dividing the coast into smaller beaches.
The very clean beach of Stomio Oxilithos is with pebbles inside and outside of the sea. Along the beachthere are restaurants and cafes.

The beach Mourteri is a long beach with sand and pebbles on the shore and pebbles on the bottom. Along the beach there are a few taverns and cafes.
Limnionas beach in Central Evia is a beautiful pebbled beach with some of its parts with a dark cherry-brown sand. Limnionas beach has two canteens, which offer coffee and sandwiches and few umbrellas.
Korasida is a beautiful pebbled beach, with turquoise waters (a perfect combination of mountain and sea). This beach is one of the most picturesque in Greece along with the Kalamos beach.
Eretria Beach is popular for its cafes, taverns and ouzo establishments, but also for the nightlife. It has the particularity to be composed of two beaches and road passes between them, so when the wind blows one of the two is always calm.
The beach of Karystos is in the harbor where you can enjoy coffee or lunch overlooking the picturesque view. Should you want to swim, there is a sandy beach on the edge of the harbor beach and a beach bar.
Organized beach full of cafes, taverns and full of tourists in the summer months. The beach has sand at the sea bottom.
Near the coastal town of Rafina, about 32 km northeast of Athens Rich sand about 700 meters in length located approximately 1.5 kilometers south of the port of Rafina.

A long and sandy beach, Kyra Panagia beach is on the west coast of the island of Skyros. This beach is quite unspoiled with sparkling waters and nice sand.

The beach of Gyrismata is an extremely popular beach among locals as well as tourists. This long and sandy beach lies 5 km north of Skyros town and stretches over quite a distance.
Atsitsa beach is quite popular on the island of Skyros. With a couple of taverns nearby, which offer scrumptious food, the beach does not provide many amenities, such as towels or umbrellas.
