Sailing Tip
The entrance of the port is facing southeast and is protected by a west mole that extends to the northeast.About in the middle of the quayed shores of the port there is a jetty (old jetty), which extends to the northeast for about 50 meters.
A ramp, to which car ferries connecting the port to the shores of Attikí land, is located eastern of the jetty. A ferry service to Agía Marina in Attikí exists only in summer.

Navigational Aids
The entrance of the fishing harbor is difficult to recognize by vessels arriving from the north or south. The entrance is open to the west, 80 meters wide and protected by two breakwaters.
The port of Néa Stýra is formed on the north shores of the bay of Stýra, in front of Stýra village. The port consists of a pier, 67 meters long, the direction of which is west.
The small harbor of Alivéri is a small artificial harbor that lies at the northwest head of bay Alivéri, in front of Alivéri settlement. The harbor is protected from the waves raised by south winds by a mole that starts from the northwest shores and extends to the east for 210 meters.
If you continue beyond the main beach in Sesi and pass the baton with rocks which is made to protect the boats you will find a small cove with pebbles. The creek is literally hidden behind the rocks.
Solitary bay with pebbles and sand. Unfortunately access is possible only by boat or on foot and after a little walking.
Organized beach full of cafes, taverns and full of tourists in the summer months. The beach has sand at the sea bottom.
Kalamos beach has turquoise waters and white sand washed by the Aegean Sea. There are two small consecutive bays separated by a rock.
Located in front of the homonymous settlement. Sand and pebbles with some trees near the beach will give you the shade during midday.
Sandy beach from where the ends of Nea Makri and up the harbor of Agios Panteleimon. Although no specific organization you can find coffee and lunch on the beach adjacent to settlements.
This is a small bay on the coast with a coarse sand on its bottom. If you want to eat there a tavern nearby.
This is a little trick but as it is almost always very wavy there are breakwaters placed in the middle of the bay so the water from there to the coast is almost always calm. The beach has coarse sand and the water deepens abruptly.
The beach of Agioi Apostoloi is mostly known as “Petries” (the stones) from the homonymous village, located just above this very popular beach in Evia. It is a picturesque harbor with a beach, several tavernas and cafes.
The beach is close to Figias Marmari withtwo bays. The first, is best known and located by the Medical Building.
Sandy beach front and near the resort town Zouberi located about 1 kilometer south of the center of Nea Makri. The beach has no special organization, only a few umbrellas and sunbeds, and the water is so shallow and offered for families with young children and elderly.
Great sandy beach in front of the resort town of Nea Makri is located about 32 km northeast of the city center. The beach has no special organization rather than loungers and parasols.
Sandy beach from the port of Agios Panteleimon up the beach in front of the ropes. It is not very organized beach and of course if you want tension and fun should go to the nearby ropes.
Beautiful bay with sand and pebbles. There is a beach with some trees that offer shade during the difficult midday hours of the summer .
Small sandy beach within the protected bay of Schinias (Marathon) is located about 43 km northeast of the city center. The small beach is well organized with sun beds, umbrellas and bar and offers possibility for sport in the sand, which attracts many people, especially young people who wish to combine swimming with water sports.
A sandy beach in front of the Olympic Rowing Centre. The beach is organized with sun beds and umbrellas and of course suitable for water sports.
Great sandy beach that starts after the beach in front of the Olympic Rowing complex and reaches to the end of the bay. The beach is not organized and is preferred by those who do not want too much noise.
Rocky beach in front of the settlement Dikastika in Schinias bay (Marathon) is located in a secluded location shortly after the Tomb of Marathon and within 43 kilometers northeast of the city center. This is a beach with rocks, or rather on some cliffs suitable for spectacular diving in crystal clear waters.
Small isolated beach area on the back from Dikastika and facing the island of Evia. You will also find pebbles and rocks.
The beach is the village of Agia Marina where is the ferry communication between Attica and New Styra Almiropotamos in Evia. Sandy beach that is relatively organized.
Sandy and pebbled beach in a small seaside location beneath the famous ancient temple of Nemesis in the South Evian Gulf about 12 km east of the Secretary. The beach is accessed by car to the site and then walk.
Anchorage for small crafts can be obtained on the east shores of the head of the bay. The bottom of the bay is sandy and good-holding for vessels.

The Petries Divers School was established in 2008, and quickly became a recognized and respected diving school. The diving school is a member of the international association of DAN EUROPE and is recognized by the Marine Ministry.
