The area of the bay’s head provides an excellent anchorage that protects vessels from northeast, south and southwest winds. Anchorage for larger vessels can be obtained in depths of 30 meters with the head of the leeward mole bearing 097°, at a distance of 0.5 miles. Small vessels can anchor in depths of 18 meters, bearing the head of the leeward mole 110°, at a distance of 270 meters. The sea bottom is sandy and good-holding.

Navigational Aids
The small port is protected from the south by a mole that extends to the east for 60 meters. At a distance of 70 meters to the north of the mole there is a 50- meter-long jetty of southeast direction.
The fishing port of Glýfa is open to the south. A curved mole has been constructed on its western side.
Near the village of Agios Dimitrios where almost the bottom of Magnisia’s prefecture ends creating a creek. Deserted beach with red sand and a lot of trees that reach up to the water opposite the islet of Argyronison.
Absolutely deserted and isolated beach in the bight Pteleos accessible preferably by boat. Make sure to have with you all essentials.
The beach Kanatadika is in northern Evia in the most northern point, facing Magnesia. The beach is organized and a destination for many tourists.

Sandy beaches with spotless crystal waters at the front and by the homonymous settlement and a good option for a swim while sailing in Greece. Although not organized, the settlement offers a variety of services.
Pigadi is a picturesque small port with many sandy beaches around the settlement. On the west the beaches of Lotro, Agioi Apostoloi and Leichoura and to the south the beach of Chrysi Akti Panagias.
