Patitiri is the harbor and the largest town in Alonnisos. The harbor affords good shelter from the meltemi (the Etesians).
Taverna Nikos offers Kakavia a traditional fish soup with potatoes made by the fishermen during the fishing. Different kind of fish is used to cook Kakavia.
A small bay in Peristera Islet, reached only by boat. The pebbled beach has some protection from the wind but has no facilities.
Bay across from Straws and Stenivala. Inside the shelter bay, there are boats in the green sea and the unforgettable.
Small cove with sand and pebbles in the southwest. The small harbor of the town was used as a port of embarkation for the local boat that was performing daily route to Skopelos until the early 1970’s.
Deserted island in the bay across from Pigeon Beach Georgie Glass (Alonissos). Beach with sand with pebbles as well as green.
The beach of St. Peter is smooth with fine sand and pebbles; ideal for families with young children.
Vrysitsa beach has fine sand and pebbles with relatively shallow waters for some distance into the sea. .
For many, this is considered the most significant area in the northern side of the island because of its rare wild beauty with beautiful small and secluded beaches. The Megali Ammos is the largest of the small beaches of the bay and consists of white pebbles and fine yellow sand in some places.
Tiny beach with small pebbles and relatively cold water, there is also fresh water coming out into the sea just to the right of the beach. An interesting point is a cave that is to the right in the rocks which are found right into the sea.
The Aggalou Lakka is actually the last beach on the northern side of the island. White beach with small pebbles inside the water and outside on the beach.
Located next to the Agioi Anargyroi beach. It is an equally small and charming beach with fine pebbles and pine trees that look like bonsai plants as if they come from the rocks eaten by the sea.
Located at the northernmost point of the island. There are trees and vegetation in general, but is the driest landscape in this area.
One of the most popular and spectacular beaches in Alonissos. The sea looks white with coarse and fine pebbles.
Nice pebbly beach with crystal waters and view of the Pigeon Island. Preferred mainly by locals as it is a quiet beach.
This quite spacious beach consists of white pebbles and provides sun beds and umbrellas. The scenery complements the pine trees that literally dive into the sea.
Marpounda is one of the quietest beaches in the island before Great Mourtias. The beach consists of pebbles and black sand and the pine forest leads to the sea.
The beach has small pebbles but fine white sand in its sea bottom; the only downside is that it is narrow in width and filled with people. The deep water makes it ideal for water sports.
Impressive beach with characteristic the red color of the rocks around the beach. Along with Ayios Demetrios, it is considered the most beautiful beach of the island.
A quite large beach with fine sand in and out of the water; ideal for water sports. Particularly popular for families with young children as the waters are shallow.
The beautiful pebbly beach of Milia has facilities as well water inflatable games for young children. The distinctive odor comes from the seaweed on the beach thought to have healing properties.
Spartines is a nice pebbled and sandy beach that can only be reached by foot or private boat. With no facilities, it has a unique feel of tranquility and isolation.
Just one kilometer from Patitiri, Votsi Beach is lovely little bay surrounded by trees reaching the crystalline waters. The little shingle beach has room only for a few visitors.
Rousoum Gialos is a very popular, shingle beach, mostly because it is near Patitiri. There are taverns and cafes here along with umbrellas and sun beds, so you can spend the whole day here.
Above the beach overlooking the homonymous hotel complex. It is organized and operates sports facilities.
