Agiokampos Small Port
Exploring Agia Sailing Holidays area
Sailing Tip
The fishing shelter of Agiókampos is formed right inside (northwest) of cape Krypsiána. The fishing shelter consists of two small ports. The north port is open to the northwest and the width of its entrance is about 30 meters. It is protected by a windward curved breakwater made by boulders of north-northwest direction, 125 meters long approximately, and a leeward breakwater also made by natural boulders of northwest direction, 25 meters long.
The depths in its inner part, which is mainly used by boats, are small. Caution is required during the approach to the port as there are rocks above and below water near the head of the windward breakwater. The inner shores of the small port are quayed, with depths of less than 2 meters near them.
The south port is open to the south, with depths of 3 meters on the axis of its entrance. It is protected by a 180-meter long windward breakwater of south direction. Its outer side consists of natural boulders while its inner side is quayed, with depths that vary from 1.5 to 4 meters approximately. The south port can be used by crafts of greater draught.
