Small sandy beach with Thyme fine gravel is shortly after the Old Fokea and beachside tavernas, located 55 kilometers southeast of downtown Athens. Shortly after the Old Fokea and taverns, you'll see the sign 'Thymari'. In the first open-label after you find on your right hand and on the turn, go in and park. Below the cliff is relatively simple and known only to local residents beach. Although its big advantage is the clear (at least for Attica) waters, the beach Thyme combines sand with fine gravel allowing the bats, and protecting from the wind whipping in case of air. Access is easy because in several respects from the parking area are concrete stairs. A few yards from where we will park there is a super-kiosk with newspapers, cigarettes, cold water, buoys and generally what you may have someone on a beach. But there are coffees and edibles - buy them from the Old or Anavissos Fokea. Generally in the area are several small secluded beaches for you and your company.
Immediately to the west of Cape Sounion there is a small bay that is, unfortunately, often full of boats, but from there you can visit one of Greece's most beautiful ancient sites : Poseidon's Temple. It can be seen from quite a distance on its rocky pedestal.

Immediately after the Grand resort in Lagonissi and about 40 km from Athens will find a beautiful sandy beach as well as others in the region has very good water but it is relatively organized. A short walk from the beach you will find coffee and food.
