Within a short distance of Thanos village, there is a fantastic sandy beach. Thanos beach is partly organized with umbrellas and sun decks, and partly secluded so that visitors can enjoy total privacy and calmness.
Evgatis Beach or Evgati Beach is a beautiful sandy beach that lies in a bay on the south side of the island of Limnos. It is an organized beach with parasols and sun beds for rent.
The long sandy beach of Agios Ioannis is lying 6 kilometres north of Myrina, near the traditional village of Kaspakas. It is surrounded by huge volcanic rocks, has fine sand and crystalline waters.
The unspoiled beach of Avlonas lies 1 kilometre north of Myrina. It is a beautiful non organised sandy beach with mirror-like waters.
Romaikos Gialos is one of the main beaches within a walking distance from Myrina Town. The neighbourhood is actually a suburb of Myrina and has lovely Neoclassical houses and narrow streets.
Riha Nera is one of the best organized beaches of Lemnos, which is after the Romaikos Gialos. The beach is sandy and features bars, restaurants and watersports.
This is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Lemnos lying amphitheatrically right beneath Platy village. This lovely beach stretches for about 700 meters and has various tourist facilities, including umbrellas and sundecks.
Karvounolakas is a lovely beach situated 10km north of Myrina Town, at a wonderful location just 20 min drive from the centre of the town. This is an isolated bay with soft sand, vast greenery and colorful plantation.
Kokkina beach is the mostly deserted, yet elegant beach in Lemnos. It is situated in the south western region of the cape of Fakos in the Kondias bay.
Papia is a picturesque cove surrounded by few greenery, situated 18km northeast of Myrina Town. It is a historical area, as few remains of the Medieval era exist there.
This is a charming beach found 37km east of Myrina Town, on the northern coast of the island. The isolated location brings to the forefront the natural beauty of the landscape and the peaceful atmosphere.
Cape Tigani lies on the south western coast of Lemnos, about 8km south of Myrina Town. The cove has a unique circular shape, surrounded by lush green hills mesmerizing the visitors.
Kondias Bay is W of Moudros and N of Cape Stavros. It provides good shelter from the meltemi but it is open to the S.
Just to the E of the Cape Tigani (frying pan) there is a tiny very attractive cove. It is suitable only when the weather is sheltered for a brief stop.
Just South of Cape Mourtzeflos there is a very pleasant anchorage, sheltered from the meltemi. Anchor at 4-6 m on sand, good holding.
Myrina is built on the west coast of the island of Lemnos, and is the capital of the island. Myrina is famous from ancient years for its amazing ouzo and wine.
