The small port of Néa Mihanióna lies in front of Néa Mihanióna town. It is artificial and its shape is roughly rectangle (dimensions 400X360 meters). Its entrance is open to the northwest, with a width of about 190 meters and depths that vary between 2.5 and 3.5 meters.
The port is protected from south and west winds by an angled mole 840-meter-long with a parapet. The part from the root up to 185 meters to the southwest is pile-supported while the remaining part is quayed only on its inner side.
Opposite the head of the mole there is a T-shaped jetty. Its total length is 155 meters and the breadth of its head is 40 meters. The depths inside the port vary between 2 and 3.5 meters and near the east quayed shores they are less than 1 meter.
