Lagomandra beach is one of the most favorite beaches. It is well liked by families, because right next to the sea there is a small forest, providing shade during the difficult mid-day hours. The pine forest reaches up to the sea water. The beach has fine sand and spotless waters. On the beach there are organized activities with water sports, such as, banana, tubes and others. However, it is generally a quiet place without the excessive crowds that usually exist in other beaches of Chalkidiki.
The small port is open to the southwest and covered from the west by a small peninsula of south direction, which is 300 meters long and ends up at cape Néos Marmarás. The opening of the entrance is 200 meters and its penetration to the north is 300 meters.
The place to see and to be seen! For those wishing to be in the center of things, Nikiti which is in front of the homonymousous settlement is the suitable point as it is full of bars, taverns and shops. On the beach you can find umbrellas, deck chairs as well as various marine sports.
Small islet opposite Neos Marmaras whose name Kelyfos Chelona (turtle shell) explains its shape--that of a turtle! Here the only residents are wild goats and gulls! However, it is worth swimming in the light blue waters of this unique beach. Accessible only by yacht.
Following the coastal way from Porto Carras to Agia Kyriaki there is a lot of small deserted coves with beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise waters, for those who prefer isolation. Needless to say, there is no organized beach there, so you should bring along all the necessities.
It is one of the most beautiful and perhaps renown beaches of Chalkidiki, 2 km from the beach of Agios Ioannis and before the busy Kalogrias beach. The waters of Koviou beach are aquamarine, without many rocks, with a fine sand, ideal for endless hours of relaxation or play.
