Small islet opposite Neos Marmaras whose name Kelyfos Chelona (turtle shell) explains its shape--that of a turtle! Here the only residents are wild goats and gulls! However, it is worth swimming in the light blue waters of this unique beach. Accessible only by yacht.
The small port is open to the southwest and covered from the west by a small peninsula of south direction, which is 300 meters long and ends up at cape Néos Marmarás. The opening of the entrance is 200 meters and its penetration to the north is 300 meters.
In the most southern part of the peninsula, this is a favorite destination for those who love free camping; caravans parked almost on the edge of the steep rocks with their owners enjoying the best view of the Aegean sea with the Sporades islands popping up on the horizon. If the atmosphere is clear, the ridges of mountain Pelion are visible.
The spotless beach of Loutra with crystal waters and a golden sandy beach, is continuously awarded with the blue flag. Also in the region, many isolated beaches exist which are ideal for those who don’t particularly like crowds or like spear fishing and free diving.
The place to see and to be seen! For those wishing to be in the center of things, Nikiti which is in front of the homonymousous settlement is the suitable point as it is full of bars, taverns and shops. On the beach you can find umbrellas, deck chairs as well as various marine sports.
Found between Pyrgos and Ormos Panagias, it is an immense, exotic and quiet sandy beach with spotless waters. The light blue color of the sea, the white sandy coast, the green of the pine forest of Sithonia and the glaucus of classic Mediterranean olive groves blend harmoniously into composing an incredible mosaic of colors.
