Megali Lakka is found in the Eastern department of Samos, 7 km roughly from the city. Is good for fishing but the access in this becomes only from the sea with boat.
Navigational Aids
Samos Marina is situated in a strategic location on the island of Samos, at the eastern Aegean Sea. It is located on the southeast part of the island, just 500m away from the picturesque village of Pythagorio and at a very short distance (3km) from the island's international airport (IATA:SMI).
This a shallow sandy cove whose name means fine sand, is at the narrowest of the Samos Strait, just W of Poseidonio. There is a tavern ashore.
Kerveli is a cove that offers better protection than Mourtia. The bottom is rather foul with lots trash including beer cans, oars, and tires.
Mikri Lakka is about 1 Mile South of Mourtia, there is a nice deserted cove that affords fairly good protection from the meltemi. Anchor in 5 m over sand and some weed.
Mourtia is a nice sandy bay is at the foot of the Zoodochos Pigi Peninsula. It is pleasant anchorage but open to the S and E, and it is not good place to overnight.
Klima is a cove just West of Poseidonio. It offers slightly less protection from the meltemi than Poseidonio but it provides better holding and it is another alternative.
The cove of Poseidonio or Moulebraim is maybe the best protected cove in Samos. Unfortunately the bottom is weed and loose mud which does not provide good holding.
Malagari winery, is situated a short distance from the town of Vathi. It serves the whole island, along with Karlovasi winery.
A fishing shelter sized 80 X 60 m, has been built at the end of the quayed southeast shores of the port of Samos. The entrance is 30-meter wide, it is set to the northwest and lights exhibit from each of the entrance’s sides.
Mourtia is located in the eastern part of the island, 7 km from the town of Samos, and is accessed via the Vlamari valley. It lies just below the monastery of Zoodochou Pigis.

The small (only some 200 meters long) pebbly beach of Kerveli is situated at the eastern coast of the island, at a distance of some 8 kilometers southeastern to the capital town of Samos. It is a beach with shallow and very clean sea and, as it is located within the homonymous bay, it is pretty well protected from the winds.
The beach of Galazio is located in the north east side of the island, next to the settlement of Agia Paraskevi. The crystal clear water and the amazing landscape will fascinated you.
Agia Paraskevi is situated in the eastern part of the island, in the Galazio location, 9.5 km from the town of Samos.
It is found in the northern side of island, westwards of Karlovasi. In the beach you will find beach bar and tavern, and for those that have athletic concerns here are organized each year tournament beach volley.
The tiny (only 100 meters long) pebbly beach of Pythagorio is situated at the southwestern coast of the island, in front of the town of Pythagorio and beside its port; it is found at a distance of some 11 kilometers southwestern to the capital of the island. The sea is not very deep and as the beach is located within the bay of Pythagorio, it is well protected from the winds.
The small, some 200 meters long, sandy beach of Psili Ammos (meaning fine sand in Greek) is situated at the southeastern coast of the island, at a distance of some 9 kilometers southern to the capital town of Samos. It is a beach that is worth its name, with nice fine sand, pretty shallow, very clean sea and well protected from the winds.
The beach of Mykali is a 3-kilometers-long beach, with big pebbles is situated at a distance of some 7 kilometers southern to the capital town of Samos. Found at the southeastern coast of the island, the beach is well protected from the winds; the sea is very clean but not very shallow.
The small beach of Klima is situated at the southeastern coast of the island, some 14 kilometers southern to the capital town of Samos. The sea is pretty shallow and very clean and the beach is well protected from the winds.
