The small port of Skála Sykaminéas is situated in a distance of approximately 2 miles to the southwest of cape Skamniá. The small port is sized 40 x 50 m and is open to the east, while the depths at the middle are between 1.1 and 1.3 m.
A 70-meter-long breakwater, made of natural rocks, protects the port to the north and the west. Up to two small yachts with a draught of 1.3 m or less can be accommodated in the small port.
The small village of Skála Sykaminéas situated upon the coast and the village of Sykaminéa situated approximately 1.5 km to the inland (270 residents).

The north part of the beach is characterized by crystal clear, shallow waters and fine sand. The other side (south of the port) the morphology of the sea-floor changed completely: there are thick quite clearly pebbles with unique colors.
