The small port is protected from two breakwaters. The first one is approximately 100 m long, is set to the northeast and protects the port from the south winds. The second one is approximately 80 m long, is set to the south and protects the port from the northeast winds.
The depths at the inner part of the port are between 2 and 3 m. Depths less than 5 m are lie in a distance of 0.25 miles from the coast. The village of Parákoila is located in a distance of 2 km to the inland of the port.
