Anchoring, fishing and dragging are prohibited in a 0.25-mile-wide area, which extends to the south of the head of the inner part of the bay for 0,75 miles, as shown in the GC 323/1. Outer Part: The depths at the area are between 30 to 40 m. Vessels can anchor anywhere except for the northern area between the capes Áspros Kávos and Límni as well as to the south, in a distance of up to 0.3 miles since there are wire-nettings on the bottom (foil ground). The bottom consists of mud and sand and is good-holding. The anchorage is open to the southeast and is safe, especially in the summer, and can accommodate a considerable number of vessels. Inner Part: Anchorages may obtained anywhere in the inner part of the bay which is supposedly clear of all the dangers and the shoals. The best holding ground appears to be the bay that is formed between the capes Pávlos (to the northeast) and Meganóros (to the south) as well as the outer part of the bay of Pedinós (39º 53’. 6N - 025º 13’. 5E). The most spacious anchorage area, with depths between 11 to 18 m, with a good-holding ground, is located between the capes Pávlos and Meganóros and the northeastern part of the islet of Álogo . The area that is inside this triangle is clean from all dangers and the vessels can anchor anywhere except for the edges of the areas where there are shoals and small depths. The area close to cape Kalogeráki is often affected by the prevailing northeast winds, which create annoying waves.
