Metaleio Beach at Nea Roda

Metalleio is a small, deserted and overgrown beach that took its name from an old magnetite mine, which operated in the area up to the 1960s.
Navigational Aids
The small port is protected by a windward curved mole which extends to the north-northwest for 120 meters and on its head a light operates. The depths near the sides of the mole are 3 meters, which decrease normally towards its base.
The small port of Ouranoúpolis is located near cape Pýrgos, in front of the settlement Ouranoúpolis (960 residents). A mole extending to the west for 78 meters protects the small port from south winds.
Village Trypità is located in the northwest part of the coast of Próvlakas bay, with a T-shaped pier, 5 meters wide at its neck and 15 meters wide at its head. The waters near its head are 5 meters deep but they decrease normally towards the shore.
The small port Néa Róda is open to the west and the width of its entrance is 100 meters. The depths in the inner part are about 3 meters, and they decrease normally towards the coast.
Located in the middle of Chiliadou beach and Develiki beach, Petalidi is a long and wide beach separated by tall rocks. It has pebbles near the sea and sand in the rest of the area.
Located on the back side of the island, opposite Ouranopoli, is one of the most beautiful and large beaches of Ammouliani, shaping a well-written sandy arc, which is erased toward the coasts of Sithonia. The white fine sand and the crystal waters will amaze you.
Ammouliani is the only inhabited island in Chalkidiki, 4.5 m² in size, located 120 km from Thessaloniki.
Ierissos, also known as Ancient Akanthos is one of the bigger towns in Chalkidiki. An endless, golden and clean sandy organized beach with a front in the homonymous settlement.
Ouranopoli is the threshold of Mount Athos. It is the last cosmic place before the visitor reaches the monastic state.
A series of small islets called by the locals, Gaidouronisia constitute a cluster of small islands at a distance less than two miles from Ouranopoli and Ammouliani. You can approach them with your own yacht or rent a small boat, from Ouranopoli or from Kamoudi.
Arsanas or Tarsanas is found on the borders of Mount Athos, after Ouranopoli and named after a monasterial shipyard found there. It is a rocky beach.
Organized beach (WC, showers, waste bins, pharmacy, reception, beach bar) in front of the homonymous settlement. Big sandy beach and crystal blue, spotless waters.
It is one of the big and quiet beaches of the Municipality with a tavern nearby. For those who love reading, it is an ideal place to enjoy a good book.
Xiropotamo is located between Develiki and Trypiti. An amazing white sandy beach and quiet coast, with an amazing view to Ammouliani.
