Ammouliani is the only inhabited island in Chalkidiki, 4.5 m² in size, located 120 km from Thessaloniki. The best choice is to visit all the beaches of the island, even the most hidden ones as each has its own charm. Most beaches are easily accessible. The southeastern rocky beaches are ideal for fishing and rifle-harpooning. If someone doesn't know the area or need something, the local fishermen are a good source of information. After visiting the sandy beaches of Ammouliani, visitors may also reach the uninhabited islets of Gaidouronisi, Tigani and Pontiki to swim in the emerald spotless waters and have lunch at the family taverns located there. The sea is full of fish for those who enjoy fishing and the sea bottom has a wide variety of underwater life, which is a true challenge for those who enjoy snorkeling and diving.
Located on the back side of the island, opposite Ouranopoli, is one of the most beautiful and large beaches of Ammouliani, shaping a well-written sandy arc, which is erased toward the coasts of Sithonia. The white fine sand and the crystal waters will amaze you.
A series of small islets called by the locals, Gaidouronisia constitute a cluster of small islands at a distance less than two miles from Ouranopoli and Ammouliani. You can approach them with your own yacht or rent a small boat, from Ouranopoli or from Kamoudi.
