The small port of Mákri is located in a distance of approximately a mile east of the homonymous cape and is open to the southeast. To the west, it is protected by a 280-meter long, curved mole, with a light on its head. To the east, it is protected by a 120-meter long mole, with a light on its head as well.
The outer side of the mole is protected by a slope of masonry and a parapet, while the inner part is quayed. In addition, in a distance of 80 m from the head of the eastern mole, there is a vertical (to the coast) pier, which is 80 m long and forms up a small port basin.
