Kokkina Vrachia Beach
Exploring Alexandroupoli Sailing Holidays area
Kokkina Vrachia beach is located on the shoreline of Evros and surrounded by the waters of the northern Aegean, just outside Alexandroupolis, in the west. These small picturesque coves are crowded during the summer months. At Kokkina Vrachia, visitors will enjoy swimming, as the multilevel rocky hill at one end, which reaches up to 10 meters in height, is ideal for adventurous swimmers who do not hesitate to jump in the blue waters! Although a dangerous hobby, many prefer this beach especially for its high rocks! At Kokkina Vrachia, the waters are clear, while the coast has fine pebbles – one of the few beaches in Evros without sand. It is an organized beach with sun beds and cafes catering to swimmers for whatever they need. As its name reveals, Kokkina Vrachia (i.e., Red Rocks), the rocky landscape surrounding the beach, has a red hue that makes it special.
