Kalamata marina is situated in South Peloponnese, in the cove of the Messinian Gulf, 8 Km for the Kalamata International Airport (IATA: KLX). It is considered the ideal mooring place when passing from the Mediterranean and the Ionian Sea to the Aegean Sea.
Theater of Messene is an exceptional building and an excellent example of the theaters and amphitheaters of the Roman period. It was built about 3rd to 2nd century B.
The Municipal theater of Kalamata was built in 1984. It has two stages, the central stage and the new stage.
The beach of Petalidi is right before the small port of Petalidi, with big pebbles outside and sand inside. You will find a traditional coffee bar in front of the sea with shade and nice views.
1 kilometre before Petalidi, turn left and then right and find yourself in the beach of Tzane, with sand and small pebbles. The beach is equipped with showers and dress-changing cubicles.
Passing through an area of reeds you find the large beach of Velika. With fine golden sand and trees in its higher part, it is a popular destination and in the summer it bustles with life.
Kalamaki beach, at the end of the road leading to the edge of the first leg of the Peloponnese, it is a magnet for tourists. The view as you approach the beach is breathtaking.
