It is one out of the best three coastal destinations. Melidoni beach lies in the southwest of the island and is connected by dirt road to the village of Drimonas. You will be impressed by this little bay with the fine sand, crystal clear waters and a view to the island of Chytra. There is also a canteen where beach parties are organized day and night. An alternative way to access the beach would be with captain Spiros and his boat from the port of Kapsali.

Beach

Swimming in Kapsali beach is a treat: you get magnificent views of Chytra and the castle of Chora. The beach is organized with umbrellas, deck chairs and water bikes.

There are two beaches named Firi Ammos on the island. The first and most famous is in the southeast, near the village of Kalamos.

Komponada is one of the wildest beaches on the east part of the island. Located between Firi Ammos of Kalamos and Kaladi, it has large pebbles and very deep waters.

Located near Milopotamos village, it is an appropriate destination for those wishing to relax away from the crowd. Take the road to Panaghia Orfani; upon a few meters you will have to park your vehicle as the road ends.

Next to the port and beach of Kapsali lies the hidden beach of Sparagario. It is located in the end of the stream coming from Chora, between two steep slopes, like a canyon.

POPULAR

Leaving Milopotamos past the junction that leads to the cave of Agia Sophia, after a beautiful ride with a view to the Ionian Sea, you will end up at the beach of Limnionas. Directly opposite the beach are the Panaghia islands, two small islets in front of Limnionas bay and just below the Monastery of Panaghia Mirtidiotissa, which they were named after! In Limnionas you can see the traditional houses used by fishermen for shelter.

Further south of Limnionas, the dirt road that leads from the Monastery of Mirtidia to the coast will get you to the little beach of Limnaria. It is ideal for fishing and has a haven for small fishing boats.

Beach

At the entrance of Chora take the dirt road on the right; it will lead you to Feloti. The road is very dangerous and requires attention but the scenery will surprise you, as large rocks that slumped from the mountain of Agia Elessa have randomly set up on the slope.

Kyriakoulou beach is on the right cove after the cape between Chalkos and Kapsali. It is small, with white pebbles, green waters and high rocks, accessible by sea or through the gorge that starts at the cave of Agia Sophia, near Kalamos and has a small pond just before reaching the beach.
