Just after the picturesque village of Evgiros, the fully surfaced road continues 3km down to the romantic beach of Afteli, which is not very long but is also not often crowded. The only building is a villa, constructed by one occupant near the stone beach.
Foki (=seal) is easily accessed within a five minute drive from the busy village of Fiscardo while 50 kilometres separate the beach from Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. Foki is one of the most picturesque spots in Kefalonia known for its dreamy landsdcape with olive tree forests that come down to the beach and offer natural shade.
Fiskardo is the most picturesque town on the island which survived the catastrophic earthquake in 1953. Its harbor is small, charming and well sheltered at the northwest end of Kefalonia and almost always crowded, especially during the peak months of July and August.
Vathi or Vathy is the main harbor of Ithaca and lies at the head of a long inlet on the East coast, four miles south of Kioni and five miles south of Frikes. It is a popular destination for yachts of all sizes during the season, as it provides a number of berthing opportunities as well as good anchorage off the town.
Within a small cove of unique beauty, and just 15 km from Nidri, a landscape of hills surrounds the pretty harbor of Sivota. A fishing harbor located 33 km south of the island’s capital in a beautiful bay of the same name, Sivota is an ideal place to relax and a very good spot to stop as there is an equipped port and a market.
