Episkopi is the only other settlement in Kalamos besides its port, located at the Northern coast. It is very small with a tiny port, suitable only for small boats.
Port Kastos below the town of Kastos is the only harbor on the island and fills up rapidly during high season, when the charter business is in full swing. The harbor of Kastos offers good shelter in all except E and SE winds, which send in an uncomfortable swell.

Palairos is a small and relatively shallow harbor in the Greek mainland, some nine miles by sea, east of the south end of the Lefkada canal. It also lies barely a mile north of the harbor and the Vounaki marina, the main sun sail charter base in this part of Greece.
The Kastromonastiro (Castle-Monastery) of Kalamos is near Episkopi. Only sections of its tall, stone walls remain, with their beautiful inner arches becoming embrasures for weapons on the outside.
The Palairos Yacht Club is located next to the marina and has its own private beach. With comfortable chairs under the shade and tasteful dishes and drinks in reasonable prices, the Club is a great choice.
Agios Aimilianos Beach is a small, quiet beach in the island of Kastos. It's known for Fokotrypa, a small cave with a depth of 30 meters and sand within it.
This is a village with a special interest to tourists as it has the longest usable beach Acarnania pebble and sand. Paleros attracts mostly western European tourists.
Located on the tip of the peninsula of Preveza in the Ionian sea, Mytikas beach is 4 km in length and ideal for a leisurely stroll at sunset. Beautiful pebbled beach with shallow waters.

Beautiful beach with small pebbles, about 7 km outside the Lobster on the road to Vonitsa. On the highway, turn left and follow a dirt road to the beach.

Atokos is a privately owned island of the Tsakos family. Located in the Ionian Sea, south of Lefkada and north of Ithaca, it belongs to the northern Echinades, although somewhat distant from the other islands in the cluster.
Kastos is located close to larger and long-established boating and holiday home destinations such as Ithaca, Kefalonia, Lefkada and Meganissi; it is separated from its neighbouring island of Kalamos by a deep channel. Just eight kilometres long and, even at its widest, only 1,200 metres across, Kastos has a huge appeal to all forms of boating and yachting enthusiasts.
