Harbor Kyparissías is on the S coasts of Kyparissiakós gulf. Kyparissía is a small town that belongs to the prefecture of Messinía in Pelopónnisos, situated 1 mile inland. It is the capital of the region of Trifylía and the principal town of the namesake municipality.
The harbor is open to the N and protected from waves caused by S to W winds by two moles. The W (windward) mole is curved, extends NNE and has a total length of 350 m and a width of 10 m. Its outer side is protected by rock ballasting and a parapet.
Its inner side is quayed only from the root to 110 m to the N, where its width reaches 30 m, and along a part of about 70 m from the head to the root. The rest is not quayed. The E (leeward) mole is 420 m E of the other one and extends NW for 310 m. At a distance of 85 m NW of its root a jetty starts, extending SW for about 95 m.
