Pefkoulia is an impressive large sandy beach located 10 km southwest of Lefkada town ad close to the fishing village of Agios Nikitas. Considered as one of the best beaches of the island, the sea at Pefkoulia has a wonderful turquoise color that attracts many visitors. Easily accessible and very popular, this beach can get overcrowded during summer. Some taverns can be found in the area.
The Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni or Moni Faneromeni is the most important religious centre on the island of Lefkada. Situated in Frini, on the hilltop above Lefkas Town, this monastery offers a breathtaking view to the capital village, the northern side of the island and the opposite coasts of the mainland.
"Megali Petra is another beach not to be missed while on Lefkada. Located at the western part of the island, very near to Kalamitsi beach, Megali Petra has been named after the huge rocks that are scattered on its waterfront, meaning ""great rocks"" in Greek.
Kathisma is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches of Lefkada located 15 km southeast of the main town, close to the village of Agios Nikitas.
