The shelter is protected by W, NW and N winds by a curved mole that extends NNE for about 160 m. The outer side is made from rock ballasting, the inner side, for about 60 m from the root towards the head, is quayed, and the rest is made from rock ballasting. From the middle of the quayed part starts a jetty that extends E for 55 m.
A mole that extends NW for 75 m protects it from E and NE winds. In the middle of the inner side there is a jetty that extends W for about 90 m. Its outer side is made from rock ballasting, while the inner side is quayed. The coasts of the shelter are quayed.
