The Municipal theater Kefalos of Kefalonia is located in Argostoli, between the main square and the famous street Plakostroto. It was built in 1857, while Kefalonia was under British rule and it was bombed in 1943 during World War II. Until then, many famous operas and plays were performed. Nowadays, the new theater, hosts many plays and cultural events.

Harbor Argostolíou is on the SW coasts of the namesake bay. The coasts of the harbor are quayed for about 1,425 m NW of the stone bridge at the head of the gulf, which separates it from lagoon Koútavos, and have depths of less than 2.
It is one of the most important monuments of Kefalonia. It was built in 19th century and is 8 metres tall.
A small harbor is located N of harbor Lixouríou, with a width of about 100 m. The small harbor is protected from waves caused by winds from between S and NE by a breakwater of natural boulders, 340 m in length, and by a curved windward breakwater, 200 m in length, which extends NE.
Argostoli Marina has been built opposite the main harbor of Argostoli, south of the power station. Its entrance is open west and has a width of about 50 m.
Lithostroto is at the heart of the town of Argostoli. It is basically the historical street which was destroyed from the earthquake of 1983 and rebuilt today, becoming the most commercial and secular street of town.
Makrys Gialos is a nice tourist resort that lies around a beautiful and crystalline bay. It is located 4 km south of Argostoli,the capital of Kefalonia.
Platis Yialos is located right next to Makris Gialos and is quite known for its unspoiled beauty. It consists of white sand and crystalline waters.
