On the NW coasts of the bay Kateleios an E-facing small harbor has been built, with an entrance opening of about 30 m. It is protected from waves caused by SW winds by a curved breakwater 170 m long, made of natural boulders and of E direction.
From NE winds it is protected by a curved breakwater of natural boulders, which extends SE for about 130 m. Depths inside it are less than 3 m. The inner coasts of the small harbor are quayed, with a slipway in the NW.

Navigational Aids
Harbor Pórou is protected from waves caused by N winds by a mole that extends E for 146 m, with a width of 6.3 m.
Harbor Sámis is artificial and protected by a mole that extends almost W for 178 m, with a light at its head. The middle of its outer side has been widened to include a ramp 33 m long; it has depths of 8.
The Monastery of Saint Gerasimos, situated on the plateau of Omala, is the largest religious monument in Kefalonia. Saint Gerasimos is the patron saint of the island who has built the monastery himself.
Immediately N of cape Ágios Sózon there is a NE-facing small harbor, with an entrance opening of about 20 m, which is protected by waves caused by S winds by a windward breakwater, which extends NE for about 50 m. Its outer side is made of natural boulders and the inner side is quayed.
Seven is a beach bar, situated on the beach of Lourdas. Its amazing location offers spectacular views to the Ionian Sea.
Café Bar Remetzo is an amazing place between the rocks. Visitors can enjoy a coffee between two huge rocks with an amazing view at the sea.
The beach is Makris Gialos quiet beach with crystal clear waters. Small caves stretching from the beach, ideal for those who like exploring.
Lourdas is a hillside area, which ends in a lovely sandy beach. The resort of Lourdas is dotted with private and tourist accomodation, shops and tavernas , cafes and shops.
Trapezaki is a beautiful beach located 15 km southeast of Argostoli, the main town of Kefalonia and 2 km from Lourdata village. The beach is totally unspoilt offering an enchanting landscape that caprivates all visitors.
Xygkia beach is a scenic beach on the island unique. The water contains a large proportion of sulfur on the beach giving a distinctive flavor.
