Small harbor Mandráki (Kóntra Fóssa) is formed 0.15 miles W from cape Síderos. The small harbor is protected by a curved mole that extends NW for a total length of 225 m. Depths at the entrance axis are 4 m, decreasing gradually to less than 2.5 m inside it.
It is mainly used for mooring by vessels that belong to Corfu Nautical Club. Vessels approaching the small harbor from the W should pass clear of cape Ágios Nikólaos (39°37΄.7 N – 019°55΄.5 E) to avoid the shoals about 80 m off it.

Palaces, fortresses, buildings of the Venetian rule uniquely blend with the Greek architecture, small secluded squares and the so-called ‘Kantoúnia’ the vaulted passages that make you feel as if you’ve travelled to Italy.
Taverna Thomas offers many traditional dishes including the famous Pastitsada a Greek dish associated with the island of Corfu. One traditional pastitsada recipe features lean leg or shoulder of veal and macaroni, as well olive oil, minced onions, sliced garlic cloves, salt and ground black pepper, white wine, vinegar, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, fresh or canned tomatoes, butter, and grated kefalotyri or Parmesan cheese.
