The entrance of the small port is facing towards SE and is formed between the heads of the windward mole which extends about 50 meters to SE and the leeward breakwater made by natural boulders and which extends about 15 towards to W. The inner shores are quayed with depths about one meter. At the NE shores there is a slipway.

The port of Paxoí (Gáios) is a natural harbor formed in front of the houses of the city of Paxoí, which is the capital of the island. The port can be approached by the N entrance having a width of approximately 230 m or by the S which has an entrance width of approximately 30 m and 2 m depth.
