This is a village with a special interest to tourists as it has the longest usable beach Acarnania pebble and sand. Paleros attracts mostly western European tourists. Across the coastline you can find small bays with clear water and white pebbles. The settlement offers the visitor all the services and amenities.
Palairos is a small and relatively shallow harbor in the Greek mainland, some nine miles by sea, east of the south end of the Lefkada canal. It also lies barely a mile north of the harbor and the Vounaki marina, the main sun sail charter base in this part of Greece.
