Exploring Freeness during Sailing Holidays in Greece
Fishing is a relaxing and recreational activity which has many followers worldwide. In Greece there are several spots ideal for fishing especially known for the cleanness and clarity of their waters. In Anafi, which is the top destination for fishing lovers, visitors can take local fishing boats and fishing in the small neighboring islets of Ftena, Anafopoulo and Makria.
The beach of Agia Paraskevi is located 14 kilometers west of the capital city of Evros, near the seaside resort of Makri. The beach of Agia Paraskevi has a plethora of cafes and restaurants, attracting crowds from the capital, who prefer it for its clear blue waters.
Immediately after the organized beaches and marinas of Vouliagmeni and as we follow the coastal highway to Varkiza, in the southeastern part of the bay of Vouliagmeni many small beaches, tiny coves, large flat rocks, sand the minimum area of Vouliagmeni renowned Limanakia! The distance from the city center is around 23 to 26 km, the beaches are only a few meters from the road and the edge of there on the parking. All these beaches are totally disorganized, but the water is crystal clear and the bottom of the beautiful wildness of the landscape unique and the beautiful white cliffs.
Extensive beach front Legraina the homonymous tourist resort, located 60 kilometers southeast from the city center and 3 kilometers west of Cape Sounion. The first choice for those seeking a freestyler feeling in diving, the beach level Legraina combines Cycladic fine, golden sand and azure waters and lack of crowds.
Small sandy beach in the well protected cove located directly beneath the Temple of Poseidon is located approximately 68 kilometers southeast of downtown Athens. Shortly before arriving at the temple of Poseidon on the dirt road turn left and after few meters you come across a small creek desert.
Small sandy beach on the right of the small bay of Mikrolimano front of the settlement, the beach is sheltered from the south to a small low peninsula, located about 18 kilometers southeast of the center of Keratea. This is a relatively sheltered beach from the strong summer winds (winds) and the corresponding south.

Rocky beach in front of the settlement Dikastika in Schinias bay (Marathon) is located in a secluded location shortly after the Tomb of Marathon and within 43 kilometers northeast of the city center. This is a beach with rocks, or rather on some cliffs suitable for spectacular diving in crystal clear waters.
The tiny, only 100 meters long, pebbly beach of Tsopela is situated at a distance of some 29 kilometers southwestern to the town of Samos and 18 kilometers western to Pythagorio ; the sea is very clean and not very deep and the beach, found at the southern coast of the island, is well protected from the northern winds. No accommodation facilities are available at the beach, nor in the area around; for lodging you should go to the neighboring more tourist areas.
Kedros is a tiny, sandy beach with very clean sea of medium depth, situated at a distance of some 63 kilometers southwestern to the town of Samos. Found at the western coast of the island, the beach is open to the west and it is not much protected from the winds.
The pebbly beach of Kolymbia is situated at a distance of some 24 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes, within a small cove. As it is very close to the famous Epta Piges (seven springs), just 6 kilometers far away, the place is overgrown, with a family, quiet, but also modern atmosphere.
The small sandy beach of Ammoope (hole in the sand in Greek), or as it is better known, Mikri (small) Ammoope, is one of the loveliest beaches of the island, with light yellow sand and crystal clear sea. It is situated at a distance of 7 kilometers southern to Pigadia.
The well organized beach of Megali (“big”) Ammoope, or Votsalakia (“fine pebbles”), as it is better known due to the fine pebbles, is the most popular beach of the island, for all ages of visitors. It is situated at a distance of 6 kilometers southern to Pigadia, in front of the homonymous settlement.
Take the road to Amoopi and before you get there a dirt road, in good condition, to your right will lead you to Fokia (there is a sign). A small quiet beach awaits you with shallow waters, large pebbles, little shade, boats moored at the edge and a new hotel where you will find water and anything else you may need as there is also a snack bar.
At the entrance of Chora take the dirt road on the right; it will lead you to Feloti. The road is very dangerous and requires attention but the scenery will surprise you, as large rocks that slumped from the mountain of Agia Elessa have randomly set up on the slope.
