Feast of Panagia Spiliani at Mandraki

Big two-day festival, in the monastery of Virgin Mary of Spiliani, that brings together the entire island. The food is free, and the feast is in the school yard. On the eve are offered soup, chick peas, potatoes and on the day meat with potatoes.

Navigational Aids
The closest place to Hora where one can swim is the quite lengthy beach of Hohlakoi. It was named after the large, smooth pebbles both in the sea and on the beach.
Pali is the only harbor on the island suitable for yachts. Since the re-orientation of the harbor entrance in 2007, shelter here has improved significantly, the meltemi (the Etesians) no longer sending in the uncomfortable swell of years past.
The port of Mandráki is a small, artificial port that is open to the northeast. It is protected by an 86-meter-long mole that is set to the northeast.
