Panormitis Harbor
Exploring Symi Sailing Holidays area
The port of Panormítis is a natural, small ellipsoid-shaped, the opening of which is 120 m (at its narrow point) and is set to the northwest. A light exhibits from the northeast entrance point of the harbor. The shore in front of the monastery has been quayed for approximately 500 m, with nearby depths less than 1 m.
Navigational Aids
Yialós or sometimes just Symi, is a beautiful harbor. While it is well protected from the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians), it can become problematic with strong South winds.
Marathounta is one of the most beautiful beaches on Symi. Twenty kilometers from the main port of the island, where George Kalodoukas has been keeping for more than ten years his own organic farm with olive trees, vegetables, grape yard etc.
Agia Marina on the northern side of the entrance to Pedi can be reached on foot or by water-taxi from the harbour or Pedi Bay. It has a newly-built tavern, sun beds and umbrellas for hire.
