Lindos Art Gallery was founded in 1998. It is a family-run business dedicated to providing high-quality artistic items. In Lindos art gallery visitors will find a big selection of oil paintings, modern, abstracts, triptychs and seascapes, depicting Greek scenes and watercolors.
Navigational Aids
Yialós or sometimes just Symi, is a beautiful harbor. While it is well protected from the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians), it can become problematic with strong South winds.
The port of Kameiros is located at the western shores of the creek Longónia and up to a distance of approximately 1 mile to the east of cape Kopriá. Ferry and small vessels that connect the island with the islands of Chálki, TÃlos, Sými, Kárpathos and Kásos use the above motioned port.
The port of PanormÃtis is a natural, small ellipsoid-shaped, the opening of which is 120 m (at its narrow point) and is set to the northwest. A light exhibits from the northeast entrance point of the harbor.
A pier that is set to the northeast is located at the middle of the shores of the bay’s Pedi head. It is 70 m long and the minimum depths surrounding its head are approximately 4,5 m and less than 1 m at its root.
Kamiros is the highest mountain of Rhodes. Visitors can explore the ancient city of Kamiros that has not been overlaid by the modern town.
Ladiko is a very peaceful place with big rocks, offering a spectacular view in the Aegean sea. The best time of the day to visit is after 3 pm.
The hill, which rises over the old town of Rhodes, took its name by the admiral Sidney Smith, who has set the watchtower in 1802. On the hill still remains of the Acropole exist.

Emery Winery is located at the heart of Embonas village and was established in 1923.Two grape varieties are prominent in Embonas village, Athiri grape for white wine and Amorgianos for the red wine.
Actually, there are two quite old stores one next to each other, a cafe and a mini market. It is a small traditional cafe, which offers coffee, sweets and small dishes with cheese, hamon and vegetables.
Kalavarda is a beautiful sandy beach on the west coast of the island. The sea is usually slightly wavie and colder than east coast but the crystal clear waters make it an attractive beach to spend a day on the sun improving your tan.
The long sandy and pebbly beach of Kabanari, situated in front of the homonymous tourist resort, is found at a distance of 60 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes, at the eastern coast of the island, only a few kilometers far from Lindos and some 70 kilometers southern to the International Airport of Rhodes. It is a fully organized beach, with all facilities for swimming and sunbathing.
On the right you will find peace and quiet and a family atmosphere, while on the left a private beach for guests of the one and only hotel, occupied mainly by groups from Germany. The beach is located just 500 meters along the road from Archangelos, and is the ideal bathing place for the local villagers.
The Charaki is a nice surprise for those who discover it, in a very quiet atmosphere, clearly limpid waters suitable for exploration of bottom with mask, small fishing boats moored in the harbor, fresh fish taverns and above all the imposing castle Feraklou - old base for pirates, that became the first fortress of Rhodes after its conquest by the Knights. The beach Charaki will offer a family environment, ideal for those who travel with young family members.
Massari beach is situated in Municipality of Archangelos 37 km from Rhodes town next to Charaki. The beach has a few umbrellas.
Makris Tichos is a small beach near the tourist resort of Lardos, 50 km south of Rhodes Town, between Lindos and Prassonisi. The surrounding region is tourist developed and has many hotels, restaurants and some water sports centers.
Kokkinogia beach is located in the south of Rhodes Island, 60 km from Rhodes Town before Asklipios Village. Type of beach: Mostly with pebbles and little sand.

Lachania is situated 70 km from the town of Rhodes and 30 km from Lindos, in the middle of the route from Lindos to Prassonissi. This is a large beach with sandy shore and clean water.

Plimmyri is located 85 km south of Rhodes Town. It is a natural bay that one will meet in the left side of the road, while traveling from Lachania to Kattavia.
The beach was until recently an open secret to those who wanted to keep it pristine and inaccessible from the hordes of tourists who visit every year the island of Rhodes. In the dunes of Mavros Kavos will encounter the white lilies that grow on beaches in the region as well as rare cedar.
Marathounta is one of the most beautiful beaches on Symi. Twenty kilometers from the main port of the island, where George Kalodoukas has been keeping for more than ten years his own organic farm with olive trees, vegetables, grape yard etc.
Agia Marina on the northern side of the entrance to Pedi can be reached on foot or by water-taxi from the harbour or Pedi Bay. It has a newly-built tavern, sun beds and umbrellas for hire.
Nanou is only accessible by taxi-boat or a very long walk! The journey will take between 30-45 minutes. The last taxi boat back to the harbour leaves at 6.
The sandy beach of Kastraki is situated at the eastern coast of Rhodes, at a distance of some 12-16 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes at the South. Well organized, this nice sandy beach offers to the swimmers a wide range of swimming and sunbathing facilities, which makes it very popular.
A sublime and very clean pebbled beach with lots of rocky coves for those who desire some solitude. Ftenagia is located behind the hotel and the small chapel of "Agia Aekaterini" (Saint Catherine).

Paradeissi is situated at a distance of 15 kilometers southwestern to the town of Rhodes.
The beach in front of the tourist resort of Kremasti is situated at the northwestern coast of the island, at a distance of 12 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes at the Southwest. The beach is part of the long sandy beach of the western coast, which starts from here to end up, after 10 kilometers, at Theologos.
The beach of Ixia is situated in front of the homonymous tourist resort, at the western coast of the island, to the North. It is very close to the center of the town of Rhodes, 4 kilometers at the Southwest.
The beach of Zefyros is a small sandy beach of the eastern coast of the island, situated a bit southern to the Marine and southern to the main port of the town of Rhodes. Although well organized, it is small and calm, with nice sea, well protected from the northern and western winds.
The long sandy beach of the western coast of the island starts just after the Aquarium, within the town of Rhodes and is extended along the Leros Coast, Kalymnos Coast, Miaoulis Coast and Kanaris Coast, is better known as Psaropoula, the old name of the central and better organized part of it. As it happens with the other long beaches of the town, various parts of Psaropoula are named in different names, as if it were a separate beach, usually taking the names of a hotel or a tavern found in this particular area.
The long sandy beach of the town of Rhodes is found at the most northern end of the town of Rhodes and of the island. It is one of the most popular beaches of the sand, extended all along the Casino, the Aquarium and it is situated northern to Mandraki.

The sandy beach of Tsambika is situated at the eastern coast of the island, at a distance of 26 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes, close to the famous monastery of Panaghia Tsambika, within a fascinating natural environment. Accommodation is available in the area around , at the nearby tourist resorts, whereas a few cantinas by the sea are available in the beach for snacks and refreshments.
The pebbly beach of Fournoi is situated at a distance of some 78 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes, at the Southwest, almost at the center of the western coast of Rhodes. It is ideal for those who wish to avoid big crowds at the beach.
The bay of Apolakkia is situated at a distance of some 80 kilometers southwestern to the town of Rhodes. It is a very long beach of outstanding beauty, which at the same time is an important protected biotope.
Pontamos, the only sandy beach, is 10 minutes walk from Emborio, up the concrete road, over the ridge into the next bay. It has a tavern, a cantina, and sun-beds with umbrellas for hire.

The small sandy beach of Glystra is situated at a distance of 55 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes at the Southwest, some 11 kilometers after Lindos. It is a nice beach, within an environment of lush vegetation, calm enough and not very crowded.
The nice sandy beach of Lardos is situated at a distance of some 3 kilometers southern to the homonymous village, 7 kilometers southwestern to Lindos and 57 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes at the South. Being close enough to Lindos and the village of Lardos, there are several alternatives for accommodation, food and drink, shopping and amusement, both in the two settlements and in the area around.
The beach of Lindos is found, just below the acropolis, at a distance of a few hundred meters far from the settlement and some 50 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes. Being that close to Lindos, a wide range of accommodation, shopping and amusement facilities are offered to the tourist.
The sandy beach in Vlycha Bay is situated at a distance of some 3 kilometers far from Lindos at the Northwest and some 47 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes. As Vlycha is very close to Lindos, you have at your disposal all the facilities available in the settlement.
At a short distance from the village of Kalathos it is situated the 4- kilometers long sandy beach with the same name. The beach is found at a distance of some 4 kilometers northern to Lindos and some 44-45 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes.
Prasonisi is the last edge of Rhodes at the very South and is found at a distance of 95 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes and 12 kilometers far from the inland village of Kattavia, also to the South. It is a strange place: in winter it is a small islet, but in summer you will see a small peninsula.
The pebbly beach of Kolymbia is situated at a distance of some 24 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes, within a small cove. As it is very close to the famous Epta Piges (seven springs), just 6 kilometers far away, the place is overgrown, with a family, quiet, but also modern atmosphere.

The beach of Ladiko is situated at the eastern coast of the island within a small cove, just after the Anthony Quinn beach, at a distance of some 15 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes. It is an excellent beach, 700 meters long and 30 meters wide.
The beach of Kathara (clean in Greek) is situated at the homonymous cove and it is a sandy beach with rocky shaping here and there, which makes it very picturesque. It is situated only a few hundred meters far from the central square of Faliraki at the South and some 12,5 kilometers far from the town of Rhodes, also to the South.
