Leipsoi Harbor
Exploring Leipsoi Sailing Holidays area
The small harbor of Leipsoi, is in a dog-leg inlet roughly halfway along the south side of the island. There is a white light structure (Fl W 3s 6M) at the N entrance. A white chapel with a blue domed roof is conspicuous on the N shore of the outer part of the inlet. The inlet is well protected from the prevailing winds but there can be very strong gusts during the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians).
The town is very pleasant and tranquil with many attractive places to eat, especially in the summer months. There are also some good walks in the surrounding countryside.
Navigational Aids
Kambos is one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Leipsoi. In close distance to the main town, Kambos can be reached within a fifteen-minute walk.
Hohlakoura is located 4 km east of Lipsi town. Covered with white stones, the natural surrounding of Hohlakoura is rocky with lots of greenery.
The beach of Xirokampos is located in the south east side of the island, next to the beach of Hohlakoura. There are no any kind of facilities in the area.
