Sympetro is a 413 m mountain peak near Kos. The nearest peaks are Dikeos and Trotsouli. Sympetro offers visitors the opportunity to have a mountain biking trip, over the mountain to Zia. It is a very difficult trip and visitors should bevery experienced.

Navigational Aids
Kos is the main harbor on the island. It is a large and safe harbor although it is subject to N-NE winds which can cause considerable swell within the large harbor.
Near Tigkaki beach, there is the area of Alykes, one of the two main wetlands in Kos, where bird lovers will discover various intriguing species. The area is the largest breeding place of ruddy shelduck in Southern Europe.
Marina Kos is located on the outskirts of Kos town; about 15 min walk from the town center, next to Kos old harbour. Marina Kos is easily accessible, only 26Km away, through Hippocrates International Airport (IATA: KGS) by charter flights from the major European cities.
It was built around 3rd and 4th century BC. It isIt is situated next to Gymnasium and Roman baths, creating an ideal place for a visit, as it concentrates many important places to one point.
Lake Psalidi is near Kos town and is a great destination for bird-watching, providing birds such as rare ducks and flamingoes. Some of the species, which could be found there, especially in the autumn, include Reddy Shelduck, Slender-billed Curlew, Long-legged Buzzard and Lesser Kestrel.
The Archaeological museum of Kos is located at Eleftherias square, in a neoclassical building, designed in 1935. Excavations brought to light findings by the beginning of the century, mainly from the archaeological site of the Market and also from monuments, such as, the Altar of Dionisos, the Odeon and the Roman Residence.
The Knight Castle was built in 14th century on the ruins of an oldest fortress. The castle has two rounds of walls and it used to be surrounded by water and connected to the mainland by a bridge.
The tourist shops of Ifestou street are open every day until late in the evening. Along this cute pedestrian street are jeweleries, silverware, pottery shops, textiles and various souvenirs shops, as well as numerous cafes and bars.
The long sandy beach in Lambi is situated on the western outskirts of Kos Town. It is a popular, well organized beach that offers all kinds of facilities to tourists during the summer months.
The Beach Psalidi is about 3.5 km from Kos town, on the East side all the way from Kos Marine to Agio Foka.
