Antimachia Traditional House

The Antimachia Traditional House is located at the center of Antimachia village and depicts the local architecture of the 20th century. It is also called ‘The Stone House’ since it was built with stones. It was constructed with materials from local residencies.Visitors will go back to time by navigating in the interior of the house and learning about the old tools, furniture and appliances. There is a room with displayed looms, another one showing how they baked the bread, a hen coop and a pigs’ house.Opposite the museum there is a watermill, also, called ‘Priest’s Mill’. This is the only mill that still operates in the island.
Navigational Aids
Kardamaina, is a small town 7 km from Kos Island International Airport at Antimacheia, situated mid-way along the south coast of the island of Kos. It is reputedlys the most picturesque village in the island.
The small port of Mastichari is artificial. It is protected from the northwest by a curved mole, which is 270 m long.
Kardamena is the best destination in Kos for clubbing. Nightlife starts in Bar Street and the clubs that are spread throughout the village.
Mastihari is the second port of the island. However, it's also a truly exotic beach with white sand and turquoise blue waters.
