The beach Akti (which literally means 'coast') is on the east side of Kalymnos. You can get there by car, along the road which connects Pothia to Vathys. It's a nice beach, with fine sand and clear waters. A tavern next to it serves the hungry guests and bathers.

Leros Marina is the first private marina and boatyard in the Dodecanese sailing area. The Leros Municipal Airport (IATA: LRS), serving the island of Leros, is in the northeast part of the island in Partheni, 17km from Lakki, only 20 minutes drive from the marina.
The road west out of Pothia leads to the village of Vothini then down to the inlet at Vlychadia where there are two pleasant bays each side of the small harbour, one a gentle curve of shaded sand the other a small strip of clean pebbles. Good taverns back both beaches and regular excursion leave Vlychadia for the cave at Kefala just along the coast south-west of Vylchadia.
Kalamies beach is located just before Emborios village. In there, a different feel occurs, with an ambiance that will take you a little back in time, as there are still tavern tables on the pebbles, palm leafs function as umbrellas and smiling people serve you their best delicacies.
