A short distance west of the country lies the old port of Stavros. The picturesque little beach ideal for romantic after sunset from here is amazing.
Next to the beach lies the Agios Markos church. The chapel stands on the rock above the small beach.
Immediately after Agios Markos and Kionia encounter. Great beach with pine trees stretching in front of the archaeological site of columns with the Temple of Neptune looking at Syros.
Close to Agios Markos, is a small sandy desert. There is some organization and you must have your own things.
“Godfather” of the rather leeward large sandy shore at the southern part of Tinos (11km away from Chora) was the chapel of the left side of the bay. Nature has endowed the beloved of the Tinians with shady trees, crystal clear, emerald waters and unobstructed sight of Syros.
Laouti beach is the water-sports lovers’ favorite destination on the island. Enjoy the crystal waters and the sandy shore and rest yourselves in the seaside cafes and restaurants.
The Beach of Agali is located at the most idyllic spot of Chora in Tinos, only a 10 minute walk from the port. The largest and the best organized sandy beach.
Aspros Gialos is a beautiful and secluded beach with sand and pebbles. Access to this beach requires walking, while the car must cross a dirt road, which in some places is inaccessible.
Unknown to the most people, an isolated beach covered with pebble, in Kato Meria. The picturesque chapel of Agios Charalampos seems to decorate the beach.
The small fishing port in Ysternia, 17km NW of Chora, consists of clear waters, shingles and taverns to get some food while it “looks” towards Syros. 17km from Chora.
Right under Kardiani village, the quiet little port of Exo Meria with the deep blue embrace of the Aegean Sea as well as the pebbles, gathers mostly families. On the advantages of the beach, you may include the taverns where you can have a meal or dinner of maritime influences.
The cherished seaport of Kardiani (13km from Chora), next to Agios Petros beach. Exotic moments with crystal, shallow waters, shady tamarisks all along, relaxation in chaise lounges under the rattan umbrellas and cocktails or raki from the Kardiani Kalyvia beach bar; always in speed and at your disposal, the beach bar supplies you with snacks, juices, coffees, cocktails and raki directly at your chaise lounge.
A romantic picture of two sugary sands…. And a rock in the middle which has the homonymous chapel on the top, seems like the natural boundary of the two quiet coves.
Unknown to the most people, an isolated beach covered with pebble, in the east side of the island. The picturesque chapel of Agios Dimitrios seems to decorate the beach.
A secret for the few and very best; it is near Steni at the eastern part of Tinos. As for umbrellas or deck-chairs, these are out of discussion! You can get to the remote, sandy coast with the jade green seabed either via Potamia either by boat.
The road that begins from Triantaros, leads to a tranquil beach at the SE part of the island; this beach consists of white and black pebbles, crystal clear seabed and the obligatory for the shadow tamarisks. 5km separate the beach from the civilization of Chora.
Remote and peaceful beach. It is recommended if you despise of the crowds but it would not be a great idea if you cannot tolerate the etesian winds.
Plain, shallow waters, pails, little buckets and generally family mood, it is ideal for those who are members of the “married” club. At this leeward famous beach you will find taverns and beach bar.
It is one of the biggest beaches on the island, located to the southeastern part of the island next to Agios Sostis. Agia Kiriaki is a quiet sandy beach, semi-organized with facilities for football and beach volley.
Just 5km east of the town of Tinos, there is one of the most beautiful and crowded coasts of the island, with the “eyes” turned right across to Mykonos. Having been awarded several times for the clarity of its shallow waters, it is ideal for the young holidaymakers.
Isolated inlet at Exo Meria, that is to say at the NW part of Tinos (25km away from Chora). After the quarries in Marlas, the dirt road leads to the tiny Malli with the green, marble sea and Andros right across in the horizon.
Koumelas is a small picturesque settlement with a small and tranquil bay. The pebbled beach is quiet with big rocks on the edge and crystal blue water being the main characteristic.

Panormos is to the left of the beautiful beach of Agia Thalassa ( the 'Holy Sea'). With its wonderful sandy beach, an ideal destination when North Wind blows from which it is protected.
Panormos beach is a fine sandy beach located in front of the village of Panormos, 34 kilometres north-west of Tinos town. The bay can sometimes get very windy and is therefore ideal for windsurfing.
With amenities, a cosmopolitan beach near Panormos at the small port of the settlement Platia. Sparse tamarisks in the sands and view towards the Northern Aegean Sea.
Also known as Mikri Ammos & Megali Ammos, you can detect it at the most northern part of Tinos, around 25min away from Chora. Basically it is separated in two; on the one hand there is the largest part which is hit by the northern wind and is quite peaceful and on the other hand, there is the smaller but protected from the winds bay with the semolina sand and jade green waters which is first in preference.
The beloved of the winds which blow permanently towards this beach. It is the right one if you look for umbrellas, deck-chairs and also to get some peace of mind.
A tiny, rocky embrace that encloses clean blue waters, near Kolympithra. The short hiking in order to reach the beach will surely compensate you.
The phrase “wild beauty” suits perfectly to this isolated bay in Pano Meria, with the black sand, fine cobblestone and transparent sea that gets suddenly deep. Those who will choose to traverse the 6km from Steni and drive in dirt road, they will be compensated by the time they have a look at the sculptural, peculiar rocks on the left and the “angry” waves during the etesian winds.
Beach of Agios Ioannis is located in the southern part of the island, located 5 km from the town and is a quiet sandy beach. Recommended for those who want peace and relaxation in the bathroom.
Kapari beach must be the most beautiful and peaceful beach in Mykonos. Kapari beach is a small paradise made up of crystal clear blue waters, bright white sand and large rock formations.
One of the most popular beaches of Mykonos on the west coast, with spectacular views of Delos and Renia. Located a short distance from the new port of Tourlos and 3 km north of the country.
Psarou is located a short distance before reaching Platys Gialos. It is unquestionably one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, with clear blue waters and golden sand.
Beach Houlakia is Located 4 km north of the capital. It is not a sandy beach and features only pebbles (houlakia is the local word for the Greek word “votsala”, meaning pebbles).
The tiny beach of Fabrika is found at a distance of 9 kilometers southern to Hermoupolis, within the well protected cove at the southeast of Vari. The place has been named after the old industry that operated there during the period of the industrial flourish of the island.
The sandy beach of Santorinioi is found at a distance of 5-6 kilometers southern to Hermoupolis, at the eastern coast of the island, on a deviation from the way from Azolimnos to Vari. Facilities for accommodation and other services are available in the neighboring resorts of Azolimnos or Vari.
Megali Agali is on the desert island Gaidaros or Fanari, opposite Hermoupolis. It is a deserted yet beautiful beach which stretches under the most ancient lighthouse of the Aegean Sea.
There are four beaches in Ermoupoli which combine all the needed tourist facilities with the urban characteristics of the town. Visitors, after their swimming, can enjoy a meal or a coffee at one of the many taverns and cafes.
Beach Mylos is on the southeast side of the island, in front of the settlement of Korthi. It is a long and wide beach, open to the north.
Ermoupolis or Hermoupolis is a large commercial harbor part of a sizable town. The harbor has an uncomfortable swell during the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians) season and there are always the annoying wakes of the ferries.
Mykonos Marina (known locally as the New Port or Tourlos) is a new marina located around two kilometers north of the old harbor and the town of Mykonos, the most popular and cosmopolitan town and island of the Cyclades. Mykonos International Airport (IATA: JMK) is located 3.
Since the partial completion of Mykonos Marina, yachts are no longer permitted to berth in the old harbor, which is reserved for tripper boats. The harbor is extremely crowded and noisy.
Delos is a small island without a secure anchorage. According to the Greek mythology Delos was a floating island where Leto, after being impregnated by Zeus and refused by every land because of the wrath of Hera, gave birth to Apollo and Artemis.
Korthi is a very lovely cove. It is exposed to the east and it is not protected from the meltemi and it can be dangerous when it blows.
Tinos is the only sheltered harbor in the island. It is a large commercial port with frequent ferries charging in and out.
Panormos is a small fishing harbor within a large bay on the north-east side of the island provides some protection from the meltemi (the Etesians) but it is not comfortable because of the swell. But within this bay there is much better shelter in Agia Thalassa.
Syros Marina is situated in the center of the Cyclades sailing area. It is located south of the commercial harbor and about 20 minutes walk from Ermoupolis city.
Rinia or Rhinia, also known as Greater Delos, is an almost deserted island five miles SW of Mykonos. The anchorages around the island make a pleasant stop for people who avoid the noise of civilization.
Horseland is located in Maou, Ano Meros.It isIt is one of the most organized horseback riding clubs in Greece and offers all the necessary equipment and training.
Kaloni is a village full of flowers and trees. At the narrow streets visitors can find small tavernas and traditional cafes (kafenia).
Less than 1 km from Delos town is the ancient theater of Delos. It was started in 314 BC and finished 70 years later.
The Apollo Municipal theater of Ermoupolis was built in 1864. It is located on Miaouli square, in the center of Ermoupoulis, and is a miniature replica of La Scala in Milan.
The Aegean Maritime museum was founded in 1983 and opened to the public in 1985. It is located at the area of Tria Pigadia, in a traditional Myconian building of the 19th century.
The Marble Crafts Museum of Tinos is just outside the village of Pyrgos. It presents the history of marble crafting on Tinos from the ancient years until today.
The Evangelistria Church is also known as Panagia Megalochari which means Virgin Mary with all graces. The church is located on a hill above the Chora of Tinos.
