Beach Chrysi Ammos is one of the most beautiful beaches of Andros. It is located on the way from Gavrio, the port of the island, and Batsi, right between Kypri and Agios Petros.
Agios Petros beach is located on the road to Stavropeda from Gavrio. The beach is very beautiful, with golden sand and warm shallow waters, that makes it ideal for families with young children.
On the north western side of Andros, about 35 km from Chora and 4 km from Gavrio, there is Fellos, an easy to access beach with crystal water and soft sand on the shore. This small bay is sometimes affected by summer winds, the so-called meltemia, but it is generally goods for swimming.
Kypri beach is located on the west side of Andros Island, in a walking distance from the port of Gavrio and Batsi. It is a sandy, organized beach, with crystal clear waters, close to restaurants, taverns, bars and cafes.
Located between the beaches of Agios Sostis and Vlychada, Kaminaki is a small cove that gets frequently affected by northern summer winds, the so-called meltemia that blow so often over Andros in the summer. This sandy cove receives very few visitors, mostly due to its remote location and the track road that leads there.
Gavrio provides the best shelter in the island. You can either anchor off-shore or go stern-to at the quay.
Batsi is just 2 3/4 nM south-east of Gavrio and provides good shelter, although it can be gusty, from the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians) but it is exposed to the south. You can either anchor off-shore or go stern-to at the small quay.
