Panormos is a small fishing harbor within a large bay on the north-east side of the island provides some protection from the meltemi (the Etesians) but it is not comfortable because of the swell. But within this bay there is much better shelter in Agia Thalassa.
The Marble Crafts Museum of Tinos is just outside the village of Pyrgos. It presents the history of marble crafting on Tinos from the ancient years until today.
The small fishing port in Ysternia, 17km NW of Chora, consists of clear waters, shingles and taverns to get some food while it “looks” towards Syros. 17km from Chora.
