The entrance of the small port is open to the northwest with depths of about 3.5 meters and is formed between the windward and leeward breakwaters. The windward breakwater starts from a point that is located about in the middle of the north side of the north breakwater of the port of Rafína. It extends to the northwest for 275 meters and a light operates at its head.
The part that extends from its root up to 65 meters northwest is quayed, with depths of 2.5 meters near it, while the remaining part, up to its head, consists of natural boulders and berthing to it is not possible. The leeward breakwater that consists of natural boulders lies 70 meters southwest of the windward breakwater and extends to the east for 40 meters. A light operates at its head.
The shores of the shelter are quayed with depths of approximately 3 meters near them, except for the south side and the part that extends for 23 meters from the root of the leeward breakwater, where depths of less than 0.5 meters lie. In the middle of the west shores there is a slipway.
