Exploring Naxos Sailing Holidays area
The beautiful beach of Agiassos is located 21 km south from Chora, the last beach of the eastern side of the island. Agiassos is surrounded by green hills that harmonically match the blue of the sea. It is protected by strong winds whereas the shallow waters are quite safe for the children. The peaceful landscape and the taverns with the delicious dishes make Agiassos a lovely place to visit. Few accommodation is found along this long bay, which is also an ideal place for diving due to the clean water.

This route leads to the highest mountain of all the Cycladic islands, Zas Mountain. Legend says that Zas has taken its name from the ancient God Zeus, who lived in the cave of Zas located on the western side of the mountain.
Gerolimnionas is a beautiful untouched beach located 3km from Chora and can be reached after almost a 30 minutes' walk following the dirt road and then the narrow scenic path. It is sandy and its turquoise waters make it ideal for snorkeling and spear fishing.
It is a quaint, remote cove, with no shore, ideal for underwater fishing and trekking. In the old days the cove and the nearby Marousou Cave, were served as a shelter for pirates.
Alyko, located in the southwest of Naxos, is approximately 21 km away from Naxos Town. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Naxos, with white sand and a forest of cedar trees.
Situated right after Alyko beach, the area combines the beauty of the sea and the inland beauty. The sandhills and the abundant cedar trees impress even the most demanding visitors.
Plaka is like a continuation of the beach of Agia Anna and is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. It is a calm and endless sandy beach with, in some parts, big flat stones and amazing crystal-clear waters.
The incredibly beautiful beach resort of Mikri Vigla is located 18 kilometres away from the capital and consists in two wonderful sandy beaches separated by an impressive hill. The northern beach of Mikri Vigla is wonderful, with soft golden sand and crystalline turquoise waters and is blessed by the meltemi (north winds specific to the Cyclades) which make it an ideal place for wind/kitesurfing.
Kalantos is the southern and most desolated part of the coastal line of Naxos. Access to Kalantos is very difficult by shore because there is no asphalt road and the route is a little steep.
